Hi there!

I’m Zoe, an intrepid, resourceful, inquisitive, critical thinking UX Designer. My background is in social research and anthropology and I have spent time working as an English teacher, a research analyst, and a project coordinator. I have always been curious about people, leading me to study several languages, travel extensively, and live and work abroad.

A few years ago I discovered the field User Experience Design, bringing together my fascination with why people do what they do, my interest in the ways technology can positively (and inevitably negatively) impact our lives, and a drive to create meaningful solutions to problems of all scopes and sizes. I’ve found my vocation in UX design, not just because I see it as more than a job, but because you never stop learning, something I’m really passionate about!

Having done client-work in the past, I took a deep dive into two green-field B2B projects when I joined Collectiv Food at the beginning of 2020. In spite of the challenges this year has thrown our way (looking at you COVID19) it’s been an amazing opportunity to push myself and really grow as a designer.

Music I hum along to: Bonobo; Hozier; David Bowie; Leon Bridges; Solomon Burke

Books I’m halfway through reading: Dear Martin; How the World Thinks; Conversations with Friends; How Not to be a Boy

Food/ drink I’m day-dreaming about: Dark chocolate sorbetto, a classic Old Fashioned, pumpkin pie with extra cinnamon…

Next destinations on my list: Stay-cation in the garden! (But for-real I dream about traveling freely again…)
